About my phone number, I am in the book but I am so deaf its a struggle for me on the phone.

Okay I have made some progress.? I removed the top panel, the frequency control knobs, and the screws holding the front panel.? I then removed the screws holding the oscillator assembly to the panel and moved the assembly away.? I then removed the hex plug in the front.

At this point I don't know what to do.? Looking through the hole I don't see a slug to be adjusted.? In fact I can hardly see anything, as the hole is partially covered by the dial.? Shining a light in didn't help.? If I could see an adjustment I could turn it but I don't.

Perhaps Richard you could PM me with your telephone number so you can guide me better and more expediently.? My hands hurt and the cables are taut but I have not disconnected anything so it should run if I switch it on.

Richard, while I have not cleaned the turret contacts (they seem solid), I have had the side cover off a couple of times.? I will see about removing the knobs.? At least I don't have to remove the entire panel.

One question.? When I remove the oscillator assembly and the octagonal cover button, will the proper slug be accessible through the hole?

Look in the files section.? There are two copies zipped with different utilities.

I am still at a loss how to gain access to the alignment adjustments for the detector local oscillator.? It appears I must remove the front panel.? Has anyone tried this?
