Hi Erik,
pl. can you post the link for github where to find the latest version of tinySA.ini /? tinySA.exe? and tinySA.ino working for TinySA with arudino zero . Under this link "https://github.com/erikkaashoek/tinySA" I cannot see any of this files anymore. Thank a lot! Peter |
Re: tinySA nearing completion
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi Erik, ? There will be no option to buy one direct in the Netherlands ? For all I know, we may be living next to each other (-ish), and it would be a shame to pay a lot of money for customs duties. I feel I pay enough taxes already¡.. :-) ? Thanks, Hans PA3CRZ ? From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Erik Kaashoek ? The tinySA is available on Alibaba for for 50$ excluding shipping and handling |

Re: tinySA nearing completion
I am sure you will run out of stock very quickly.
The ESP32 version we are developing we have currently called tinySA for ESP32, as really it is just your tinySA with a different processor and firmware.? I certainly have negative interest in making this into a product, for me it is purely for the fun of testing out the hardware and developing solutions, and making my own equipment (HBTE group after all). Do we need to change the name or add something into our source code?? Certainly I would like to continue to use this group for discussion of homebrew test equipment, and hopefully hearing about your next experiments which may well inspire further projects! Good luck with the venture, and well done to you and Hugen for getting it to market quickly. Dave M0WID |

It would be interesting to see if the different oscillator makes any significant improvement to performance, especially given the fairly wide minimum RBW.? For me the main improvement would have to be obtaining a narrower min RBW while keeping the low cost.? 2.6kHz is really too wide for some uses.? The SI4438 spec sheet states 1.1kHz min bandwidth and could be good for the receiver, seems to be available in a module at low cost.? Reduced frequency range so no good for the LO, quite different code to drive it - John? Thinking aloud here - if we had two SI4432 in RX but offset in receive frequency so only a small portion of the bandpass overlapped, then it may be possible to obtain a narrower resolution but probably reduced dynamic range.? Really depends on how sharp the FIR filters are in the SI4432, and that needs measuring.? I think it can be measured by fixing the RX SI4432 frequency and then sweeping a signal from a signal generator across and recording the results.? Could be a paper/pen exercise (OK - Excel these days) or automated, which i plant to do at some time. Dave |
