Oh, I forgot to mention: you¡¯ll need to trim down the elements on your HF Yagi. You can swage them back on later...

We¡¯ll be using 1296 MHz. The signal coming back from the moon is quite small.?
People are making contacts with multiple yagi antennas in phase.

If you can see it, you¡¯re in the footprint! Just lacking the preamps and yagis.

There¡¯s a reason we¡¯re on a sixty foot dish.

Ev,

I've never made an EME contact but I'm assuming that it is similar to a satellite contact. With satellite contacts the return signal has a predictable surface area on earth. When we operated on Norfolk Island iur signal was picked up locally and at some distance. What is the predicted surface area on earth with an EME? Could Mack or I pick it up?

I am a member of the Front Range 6 Meter Group.? They have a connection to?The Deep Space Exploration Society?and?Plishner Radio Telescope?at Haswell, Colorado. They operate a 60 foot radio telescope.
?
They are holding an event on Saturday, September 16 at the telescope.? I've received an invitation to operate off the moon (EME) during that event.? I'd never be able to do that with anything I own!

I¡¯ll share more on our zoom call.
