Should have posted this here before re: Chris Drummond's Costa Rica operations. I "think" he was down there prior to 2015 but not sure. I know he was down there at least twice more after the 2015 trip. Whether all the trips were at Las Villas del Guayabo or not I have no idea.
I came across the below video shortly after it aired and I did some research on going down there, but other things took precedence. It is a beautiful country and we loved rambling about in it, even if we did have to make the concerted effort to "avoid all contact, including eye contact with Jane" Goodall.

Location was "Las Villas del Guayabo" which in the foothills of Miravalles volcano (about an hour¡¯s drive north east of the Liberia, Costa Rica).

All the older expedition stuff from Chris seems to have vanished but I know Chris and some others were down there using TI7/homecalls several other years. Last was 2018 I think.

Caveat: Guayabo is not near the beach but it is pretty high up on the NE side of the volcano. I don¡¯t remember if that¡¯s the one we climbed up to but couldn¡¯t see the crater due to all the steam/fog/cloud. Nice country nonetheless.
