¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi Mac, So far our stay is going well. The grocery store, gas station, building supply, Dollar Store and a good restaurant are near by. Last night we went to Charlottestown for dinner and to see the Ann & Gilbert's play. It was truly a great play/musical. One of the writers comes up from New York city once a year, and he was there last night. He was very approachable and a talented chap. Today Nancy and Wendy are out roaming around the island to enjoy tourist things here. The radio station is a bit overwhelming for me. Everything seems to be connected to everything else thru a maze of wire, switches, relays. Ev was here two days before Peter and I, plus he actually read some of the instructions and talked with Ken. So he has become the "go to guy" for me. Everything works great but getting it into what I want is not straightforward. I'm working POTA stations to help me get better acquainted with the system.? For example, rotating an antenna is a multistep process. First change the degree and rotate the appropriate yagi on a popup menu on screen number two. The software says its rotating but its not. The next step is to set the same degree heading on a switch box for the specific antenna and then determine if you should rotate it CW or CCW to achieve the proper angle without hitting the stop.. Haven't taken my KX2 out of my backpack yet. The wx changes often and when it rains, it REALLY rains. Two nights ago we ate dinner at the local pub and grub place and the rain was blowing horizontally.? Enough bla-bla for now. I'm sure that Ev and/or Peter will add their thoughts. Hopefully your dental repair process is moving forward.? Cheers my friend. N7BF? Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone |
