Graham, VE3GTC
Konstantin, there is a group called Picoballoon?/g/picoballoon which is much more active than this HAB Balloon group.? You may find an answer to your question there more quickly than here. cheers, Graham ve3gtc On Mon, Feb 1, 2021 at 2:17 AM Konstantin via <maro_n9=[email protected]> wrote: Hi everyone. Re: telemetry channel
Hello?Konstantin, good morning to you! Welcome in this beautiful hobby. I don't know exactly what channels are already occupied?by others. I can tell you I use channel Q6 (telemetry message callsign Qx6xxx), all slots. I wish you all the best with your launches. Don't concern about your English languages, google translator has made you a native speaker!? :) 73 de IZ7VHF Roberto. Re: telemetry channel
Hi, I sugest you use the wspr to hab script avalible from the original author??or the fork from?? ?let this run for at least 24h and you will have a clue what channels are in use, looks like 0x3 0x4 0x5 qx7 and I know another 2 or 3 channels are in use, you have also the option in this script to lock just one of the 2min slot to you call, so in reality every "channel" is 5 subchannels, this is for example used curently by VE3KCL as he transmitts on slot min 0 and 6 (iirc) on ch4 - 0x4.
Also make sure you use the latest ict fw, it makes HUGE difference in encoding and decoding, /g/HABalloon/message/123 /Mikael |

Re: Question for pico tracker builders
You are welcome, Mr Chuck. I suggested the 0.6 thickness because it is a fair compromise between a thickness that gives lightness to the PCB but at the same time the necessary structural strength to be able to weld the components on both faces (if you use double side). Moreover, about?the?PCB manufacturer, there are probably many good ones, but I told you about JLCPCB because that's what I and other fellow launchers used: it is cheap and the product is of very good quality. Shipping times are long enough but acceptable. As for Italy, where I live, the wait is three weeks, from the moment the order is sent by web, to the sound of the intercom from the postman on my way. I wish you all? the best with your project. Roberto IZ7VHF, Monteiasi (Italy). Il giorno dom 24 gen 2021 alle ore 22:29 Chuck KG5CA <goldsmith@...> ha scritto: Roberto, |

Question for pico tracker builders
Chuck KG5CA
Question for those of you building ultra-small trackers for pico balloons:
What thickness of FR4 boards are you using, and where do you get them manufactured? Many shops will build 0.0625" thick, but that seems unnecessarily thick and heavy.? What are good alternatives? Thanks.... -- Chuck / KG5CA StratoCasters |
Re: ICT WSPR Tracker BOM?
Hi, nothing new out there really, ther was an improvement of the fw made a couple of month ago, I posted an updated fw here in November:?/g/HABalloon/message/123

Re: ICT WSPR Tracker BOM?
Dave,
Can you please point to the repository for the information (schematic, board layout, firmware) on the ICT tracker?? I found a previous post in which Eduard attached a zip file with also this info, but that was 1.5 years ago, and I figure there must have been some updates since then.? Quite a nice job that he as done, looking forward to building one also. -- Chuck / KG5CA StratoCasters |

Hi,?
For telemetry view download and run SM0ULC python script, where you will see what channels in use at the moment as the program scrapes wspr database for "hab channels"
?
In the original setup Eduard used that reset supervisor mic2775 so should be good, Im just using the brownout setting in the 328 so I cant comment on that component
As a highside switch I belive? mic94092 was used in the original build but its just about the same as the 93 so it will most likle work just fine.

Hi,
I didn't figure out why such wide signal but on 10.1mhz is decode 400km away that is good. On 14MHz I'm still trying.
How do you know for which transmitter is the telemetry,? only with channel selection?? I tried to find on WSPR map webpage but is not easy
to find the telemetry data. Is any shortcut how to search telemetry of individual channel?
For switch and reset I found only parts mic2775-22Bm? and mic94093yc? are that ok too?

Im guessing you will insert the switch at some point, if you try to run the board without it it will likely have problems starting with solar power, you can easely test this by putting the board out in the morning as the sun comes up. /Mikael |
