The model DSCB must exist on the GDGs catalog volume.

Unless you have defined a user catalog – you are defining into the master catalog

And – I am SURE that the master catalog is NOT on your user volume KARAM1

?

So, again –

You MUST create the model DSCB on the catalog volume that it is cataloged in – so in YOUR case – your model DSCB will need to define you model DSCB on the master catalog pack –

Next you will ask – HOW do I find the master catalog pack - - I again, will ask that you go do a bit of research –

In REAL LIFE – we almost always create a USER CATALOG - - and define an alias in the master to point to the user catalog ?OR even a SERIES of user catalogs – you see – the MASTER catalog is very important – and generally we do NOT allow USERS to catalog into the master catalog – if the master catalog has any corruption, this can lead to your system not being able to IPL correctly – so –

BEST practices typically restrict the master catalog – some use RACF others use PW – or others simply go naked and just catalog into the master…
