I hope copies of MVS/XA and MVS/ESA have been preserved somewhere. I just
missed MVS when I first got started in mainframe operations. We were still
running some later version of MVS where I work when I first started as an
end user in data entry. I don't know which version. We upgraded to OS/390
right before I moved into mainframe operations. I also just missed our
3090. It was replaced with an air cooled box. I don't remember the
type/model numbers. It had a yellow "speed bump" and internal SCSI DASD. I
wish I had gotten into mainframe operations sooner.
