Transferring Attachments From YG #transfer

From reading all I can about transferring a YG to Groups.io, I don't understand two things about the process.

1. How come attachments from YG are not part of the transfer process?

2. I understand that Groups.io does not have a formal Links page, but links can be made in the Wiki section...Which I have done. I've read that links are part of the transfer process, and they are placed in a database. I tired making a link in the database, but the link didn't work for me. What do transferred links look like in a database in Groups.io?

Don,

1. How come attachments from YG are not part of the transfer process?
I've wondered too. I assume it has something to do with how they are accessed at Yahoo, that Groups.io either couldn't or never figured out how to get them.

I tired making a link in the database, but the link didn't
work for me.
When you create or edit a table there is a special "link" column type. Columns of this type have a two-part entry: the URL itself and a text description.

That should work, did you use that or just a plain text column?

They appear as a table with a single custom column, named "Link" of type "Link".

I'm not sure what happens if the Links area in the Y!Group had folders, my groups didn't have that many links. Perhaps the folder names become another column.

Shal,

Thanks for that tip about special link column. That works for me now.

Now I have to decide on putting links in Wiki or a database.
