Help required with rejection process #settings #howto

Dear all,
I remember discussing the member rejection process a while ago, but I haven't been able to trace the original thread, so forgive me for bringing up the topic again. I am still struggling to find the best effortless way to reject a pending subscription request.
In my group most rejections are due to the pending member not sending his/her personal introduction.
I set up a member notice to be sent in case of rejection explaining the introduction thing and ticked the "active messge" box.

Various doubts:
1) Is there a way to make sure that a rejected member has been actually sent the rejection notice? Does Groups.io store this information somewhere?
2) How come that the rejection notice does not appear in the drop down Notice menu at the bottom of the message box when I write a message to a pending member?
3) As I said, in my group most rejections are due to the lack of a personal introduction, but not all of them. Is there a way to set up different rejection notices, so that moderators can choose the most appropriate one?

Hope that I made myself understood in my English.
Thank you for your help.

There is an entry in the activity log when a subscription is rejected, but there are no details.? The email sent is not stored on the site.? You would need to apply to the group using another email address, then reject it, to see what is actually sent.

Thank you, Duane.

I see no reason for the customized rejection message not showing in the drop down Notice menu at the bottom of the message box when you write to a prospective member you wish to reject.

However, I have tried a different approach and set up a Note to Member Notice, with a view to sending it as a standard message when rejecting a subscription request, but I found out that the system does not save the message.

From the Settings Menu I chose Member Notices > New Notice > Note to Member > Add Notice, but the system did not save my message.

Are you certain that a Rejected Subscription message has been written and stored?

No; there is only one Rejected Subscription message available, although as you have realised there is the option of using a Note to Member.

In your later post your wrote: However, I have tried a different approach and set up a Note to Member Notice, with a view to sending it as a standard message when rejecting a subscription request, but I found out that the system does not save the message.

Are you certain that you clicked on Add Notice after you had composed it? Have you gone back to your Member Notices tab to find out exactly what messages there actually are, and that the Active Message checkbox has been checked? It may be that you think the message is there waiting to be sent when in fact it isn't.

Chris.

Are you certain that a *Rejected Subscription* message has been written and
stored?
Very sure. The Rejection message shows in the list under Member Notices along with the other notices I set up.
Its status is "Active".
Presumably it reaches the rejected pending member, but it does not show among the choices in the Notice drop down menu when I write to a pending member (or to any other member, for that matter).

I have 4 *active* customized notices at the moment: welcome; group guidelines; pending subscription; rejected subscription.
Only two of them actually show in the Notice drop down menu at the bottom of the message box: group guidelines and pending subscription.
My moderators and I came to the conclusion that welcome and rejection notices just go along automatically with the relevant processes and that's it.

Are you certain that you clicked on *Add Notice* after you had composed it?
Of course.
My group moderators succeeded in adding new Notes to Member (they tried with different browsers), so apparently I am the only one who can't. Still haven't been able to figure out why :-((
