[email protected] isn't a member of my Yahoo group
Hello;
I sent the invite and it was accepted. I received my email for steps to transfer; but I can't find [email protected] on my member list to be able to make it a moderator of my group. I have contacted support but they say they are overwhelmed and to ask here. Please help Sincerely; Ed |

Waitaminute--you only need the [email protected]?to be a member/moderator of the YAHOO group, right?? My new groups.io group doesn't show the [email protected]?as a member, but the transfer is "in process."? Don't worry.

Hello Moderators;
I still have this issue! I'm stuck and can't start my groups transfer until I'm able to find [email protected] as a member of my Yahoo group to make a moderator. Please help me resolve this issue as time is running out and support is not helping. They just told me they are overwhelmed and to seek help from this forum. Sincerely; Ed Borg |

Perhaps it would be a good idea to resend the invite?I wouldn't.? That could lead to problems, especially after it's been accepted. I joined on 21st, the group was approved, sent the invite the same day and received my transfer letter on the 22nd.Edward -- What is this "transfer letter?" Could you tell us what it says? What step are you at in the process? Have you checked your status as described in?/g/GroupManagersForum/message/19948? Can you send us a screenshot of that page? I understand your distress, but you really need to calm down and put more effort into telling us what you've done. Until that happens, it will be very difficult to help you. Regards, Bruce |

I have attached the screenshot.Edward -- Okay, based on this screenshot, you have invited the transfer agent and it's been accepted, but you're having trouble finding it. Go to your Yahoo group. Pull down the Management menu and select Manage Members. See screenshot #1 (attached). In the list of members click the "Joined" column header so the little caret to the right points down. See screenshot #2. This should bring the most recent members to the top. Look in the column labeled Email. The agent's record should have "[email protected]" here. If you are still allowing people to freely join the group, it may not be the first record. Keep scrolling down until you find it. When you do find it, follow the instructions found at? to promote it to a Moderator, then return to groups.io and click the green button (give the go-ahead). If you get to the point where the "Joined" date is well before the date you sent the invitation, then the transfer agent membership must have been deleted. Do you have any other Moderators or Owners who might have done this? Hope this helps, Bruce |

Transfer process is working like a charm even though it took several days and for current requests will take quite some time. In our case, we need to transfer messages going back to 2000. If you just want to transfer members, it can me done manually very quickly even though some computer skills are needed. Groups.io is godsent and we have a new platform to migrate to. Mark's foresight is helping millions of users. On Fri, Oct 25, 2019 at 1:31 PM Edward Borg via Groups.Io <cadkiller=[email protected]> wrote: Here is the transfer letter I received |
