Fw: I have been asked to sign in but don¡¯t remember my password

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

I have a member of a small group that I own who is having trouble logging in.? I've copied her entire message here.? I suspect that it's a problem with her browser, but I'm not sure.? She's an older lady and not very good with technology but I'm hoping I can help her find a solution.? I'm not the most technical person either, but I'm hoping someone here can help.
My group is a Legacy enabled Basic group, if that makes a difference.
Thank you!
Ginger

This is what I get every time I try to reply or anything. It says I¡¯ll stay logged in but it doesn¡¯t work?

Every time I try to do more than read the messages i get the request to sign in then the message to ask for a sign in which I do but the version that lets me do everything does not work. I don¡¯t know what else to do. It¡¯s very frustrating.

Hi,
It sounds like an issue with your browser.??
After you look at a photo, do you click the back button to return to the previous screen, or do you click on Messages in the left menu, or do you click on the Home button, or something else?
I'm not sure what else it could be.

Then when I go back to messages and click on the site I get the same messages that I have to sign in with username and password

I may be wrong but it sounds to me that she thinks by receiving that message she is logged in, but she needs to click the log in link

Ginger; reading this page from the Group Help Members Manual might well prove useful to you and to your troubled member. It's much easier to send this link than to try to write it all out again.?

As an owner of a community group, ?I get that question a LOT and see members trying to reapply. By adding 2 ?pre-formatted additions to our site, have saved numerous typing, cut and pasting steps and time.
?
?
Tip 1 ? ? Under Admin settings, ? message formatting , ?in footer, ?I customized it to include the following message with link. It appears at bottom of each daily summary.
?
Forget your password? . Can't access messages in morning summary? Go to /login
Use the send me email link option to regain access and/ or a new password. Sends a link to your email.
?
?
Tip 2 ? ? ?I have a pre-formatted message
Set it up under admin, ?settings, ?notices,
choose message type,?Message to member
?
By adding and storing a notice, I can use specific pre-formatted message with the same email login link.
I select the members name via Members
Select that notice message via Send Message at bottom of their page.
Pick the pre-formatted saved notice titled already a member. And send it.
?
Using those notices for those who are trying to reapply, ?who are already members.
Saves typing it out or cut and pasting numerous times.

Thanks to all who replied. I have sent her the link to the Help page that Chris referenced.?
I also thought that she might have cookies disabled on her browser if she keeps getting asked to log in.?
