Just started a new group. While I ma getting it organized and set up it is set to not show up in the directory for the time being.

To that end I am wondering whether the posts I've made so far to this new group –posts which are not showing up on the home page under archived messages– will show up in the archived messages section of the home page once the group is eventually set to show up n the directory.

Any messages showing in the archive should be included in the count of archived messages on the home page. Are you saying they are not?? If you are posting messages and they are not appearing on the archive, then you should check your Activity Log for the reason why. Messages on the archive stay there regardless of whether you choose to make your group visible in the directory.

No, they were not shoing up, but....

I refreshed the home page of my just-set-up new group one more time and, ah-HA, the posted messages all finally showed up, so all is well!
