Depending on her email domain, they certainly could automatically be vectoring group posts to the spam/junk file.? If she doesn't actively check that folder for valid messages that got put in there

The setting is "Restricted." In a restricted group, all membership requests have to be approved. Otherwise people can join without approval. It is very simple.

If your group is Restricted, Groups.io is not admitting them into the group unless you or another moderator approves them. Your group is probably not se to Restricted. Having a Pending Subscription
