Can someone tell me where the ¡°In Process¡± pulldown is located? Could not find it after I read about it in Shal¡¯s posting.

In your original topic Bruce & I both gave you a link to the transfer page. Down at the bottom Click the button for the Yahoo Group Instructions. Review all of? that. The pull-down is at the bottom, over to the right.

Isn't having Groups.io being considered a phishing or potential virus site by Norton and other security apps, and so they block the browser from accessing our site, different than simply having an email go into someone's spam account and we immediately unsubscribe them??

With the volume of messages about it, it seems like more than a mild annoyance to many folks.? And with the volume of new groups and users coming over all the time, it's only going to get worse.? Time to try out that "mute" feature, I guess.

You have to create the new group before you can initiate a transfer, so this issue with acceptable characters should be encountered upon group creation and has no bearing on the transfer agent.

I suspect the underscore restriction has something to do with the subdomain addressing that one encounters in groups.io when creating subgroups. Y!G has no subgroups.

The transfer itself does not take long, but there is a waiting list, so it won't be done immediately. As best I can tell, groups are being transferred in order of request. Last I heard the queue was running around 2-3 days...AFTER you accept the transfer agent as a group Moderator and send notification that you're ready.

If the members aren't moved first, the messages cannot be linked to any existing member accounts, and will instead be linked to the group owner. Generally speaking it's unlikely that's what your group members will want.

The same goes for files and photos and all other group content.

There are some group and member settings that might bear on this. Hopefully others have played with these settings enough that they know more about what they do than I currently do.

Group settings...check Admin->Settings->Message Formatting. Normalize HTML emails will strip colors and such. Force HTML emails will make sure it's sent out as HTML but this might not be too friendly to some email clients. Leaving both unclicked should forward whatever is received, at least to those receiving Individual Messages (more on that below). Plain text only will strip all formatting.?Pick your poison.

Now click on the "Subscription" tab for your individual preferences, which contains personalized settings. "Individual emails" should receive whatever the group settings recommend. I believe the full featured digest setting is kinda like "normalize HTML emails" in that it will preserve fonts and size but strip colors, CSS, etc. Plain digest is [probably] like plain text only. I don't know about the daily summary.

The good thing about some of these plain text formats is that they contain no active hyperlinks and are thus less likely to be flagged as malicious/spam. What to do depends on what you want it to do, which was not explicit in your inquiry.
