Is it possible to replace an attachment?

Is there a a way to replace an attachment on a message? I see that I can edit the message and delete attachments but the paperclip to add an attachment is not available when doing this.

I suspect you mean his subscription -- group managers don't have access to members' accounts.

What else should I check?

Your panelist would have two subscriptions: one listed in the Members list of the subgroup, one listed in the Members list of the primary group. Those are separate and may have different settings; make sure you checked the one in the primary group.

Somewhat of a long shot: check the Email Delivery History tab in his primary group subscription. That may show whether a recent message in the primary group was delivered to his email service successfully or not. If it was delivered successfully but he claims not to have received it, then it may have been delivered to his Spam folder instead of his Inbox, have him check there.

Member not receiving any posts from main group #subgroups #email

My group has a main group for all members and a subgroup for our panelists.

On Monday, one of our panelists was unable to receive emails from the main group, although he could receive them from the subgroup. I checked his account and it appears to be okay.?

What else should I check?

Looking at the posts, I fail to see any "spam".

Another thought: the messages might contain a link to a web address that your email service thinks is dangerous (blacklisted). Or an attachment of a forbidden type (or possibly content).?

I'm getting bounced every 3-4 days, and receiving the code: 554 5.7.1 [P4], "Msg blocked due to spam content in the msg."

This means that your email service believes that those messages contained spam, and it rejected Groups.io's attempt to deliver them to you.

Which is not the normal way an email service handles spam messages - normally an email service would accept the messages but quarantine them in your Spam folder for your review. Rejection suggests they think these messages are somehow worse than ordinary spam - it probably implies they think that Groups.io's mail server is blacklisted somehow.

Then it lists several (for sale) posts submitted by members of the PB? reflecting the same code. Looking at the posts, I fail to see any "spam".

The only way to resolve this is to go through whatever procedure your email service requires to tell them that messages from your group subscriptions are not to be rejected. Those would be messages delivered by the Groups.io domain using the 66.175.222.12 IP address.

Your email provider has decided that they're spam for some reason.? You need to contact them for an answer.

I am not sure if my screenshot will transmit but it shows the random
sequence of "car" numbers.The screenshot shows the table sorted by the ID column, not the Car column.

I am trying to sort that column in numerical order.Unfortunately the database doesn't support Numeric as a column type. The Car (and "See Message #") columns are being treated as text, and will sort in text order.

To get something like numeric order make sure all the numbers have the same number of digits. For example, enter car 792 as "0792".

As I've been building the sidebar, I keep having to select every link
and then changing it's target to "none", otherwise when the page is
saved the all targets are changed to "New window".That might be related to this from a few weeks ago:

CHANGE: All links in messages now open in new tabs.

The Wiki page editor is related to the message editor (I believe they share much of the same code), so it is possible that the change affected both.

If editing the page (without editing any links) causes all the links to change from "None" to "New window" that seems worth reporting to [email protected] as a bug. Even editing a link shouldn't automatically change its target.

Sorting of database rows

Mick,

Clicking on the column headings does move the rows but they still do
not sort in numerical order.If you mean you have many rows with a number in a particular column, when you sort on that column you're probably seeing an alphanumeric sort (1, 10, 11, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9) instead of a numeric sort. The only fix for that I know of is to use leading zeros on your numbers (01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11).

The better solution would be to change the column type to Numeric. But that isn't an available option.

It still does not solve my problem..

Clicking on the column headings does move the rows but they still do not sort in numerical order. The rows just keep scrolling up in the same non numerical order.

I did mean to sort one row and have all the other rows maintain their original relationships to the row being changed.

Hello,

I'm using Groups to organize volunteer support for events.? I swear I didn't see this behavior in May with a different group I was running for an event at the beginning of June, but for an event this weekend, I keep noticing that if I edit my Wiki's _Sidebar page that all of the links target's are reset to open in a new window without me making those changes.

I don't want that as all of the links are pages on the wiki.? I want my users to be able to just browse the wiki in a single browser tab.? As I've been building the sidebar, I keep having to select every link and then changing it's target to "none", otherwise when the page is saved the all targets are changed to "New window".

Also, attachment size is set at unlimited.That wouldn't matter for a digest. In a digest the attachment would always be passed as a link to the attachment stored on the group's web pages, never attached to the digest message itself.

Attachments are not coming through in Full Digest?? They show on the screen, but when clicked, nothing is there, and the click spot is not "hot."

Your example seems to have worked fine for me.

The thumbnail and file name are an active link, clicking it brings me to the image. The paper clip icon and the word Attachments: is not part of the link, which is probably because there might be more than one attached image or file.

Now why the thumbnail and file name are missing from your screenshot is the apparent mystery. Maybe that can happen if the attachment was deleted during moderation, or after the message posted, but before the digest sent? That's just a guess, maybe the group's Activity log can give a clue.

Just an FYI...apparently Spectrum heard us and has finally fixed the
problem. My groups IO mail is not bouncing any more.Yup.

There were about a dozen "is no longer bouncing" entries in GMF's activity log this afternoon. Mostly RoadRunner addresses, one TWC and one telus.net.
