Re: Moving a lists archive to groups.io
jeff,
? That's the place, [email protected], did you at least get the automated acknowledgement? If not check your Spam & etc.
Import from is already implemented, so that would be simplest. [] That's basically a plain-text concatenation of the messages as they were on the wire (header and transfer-encoded body). Moving a lists archive to groups.io
This is NOT for a Yahoo group. It's a mailman group. I need to do this for two lists that I have moved to . I've done a lot of searching on the site and in this forum. There's plenty on Yahoo but other stuff not so much. I emailed support about a week ago with no reply and I am wondering if there is someplace else I need to go for this. Or is it just not possible? If it is possible, then I also need to know what format is needed so I can request it from the mailman server owner. Both lists do not have attachments, if that matters. |

Re: Questions from a new group owner
Just to add to this, even Special Notices are not sent out immediately for those who are using a digest or summary. If you need to send everyone a message right away you'll either have to do that through the Actions->Send Message pull-down from the Members tab, or download your member list into a spreadsheet and paste the addresses into your email client.
I also don't believe there is currently such a thing as a true Google calendar integration; meaning the ability to import calendar entries from Google into GIO. It has been requested in beta and I would dearly love to have it. Bruce |

Duane, you helped me solve my problem. The two hashtags for these groups were moderated. Thanks.

Thanks again, Duane. But not there. In fact, haven't had a message in #cal-notice in a few weeks.

Email from Rewards Programs tend to have high "is it spam" scores. It is entirely possible that just one person tossing the message into the spam bucket, pushes the spam score over the threshold, and reclassifies it as spam. (Assuming the algorithms are basically the same as they were a decade ago, a priority of "junk" will score 2 or so points lower than a priority of "urgent". Back in the early days of spam detection, a priority of "urgent first class" would ensure the email was classified as spam. jonathon |

Re: How long does it take to transfer
I'm stuck too.? I've invited [email protected] to our group on 3/17, and I'm not receive an email and don't see them as a member of our group.? I've also completed the "Easy Yahoo Group Transfer" page with the check boxes and clicked Update transfer.? It's frustrating to not know if you are in the queue, or if you've initiated this process correctly.? I keep checking our group and looking for an email, but nothing.? Does anyone have any advise on how we can check our transfer request?? LInda

I don't think you would lose members because the free account is unlimited. If your data storage exceeds the 1GB limit for the free account, something has to give - either money or data. There has been discussion about "free" accounts with incremental paid storage but that is not currently an option. A strategy might be to store your photos and other big consumers elsewhere, e.g., Google Photos and Drive. I don't know Under Settings, there are Wiki settings that cover all or most likely permissions. You can make a wiki publicly viewable but not publicly editable. |

Re: How long does it take to transfer
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýShal: [email protected] became a member of the group on February 27.? Per step 4 of Easy Transfer I initiated a transfer request that day.? Nothing happened for about 2 weeks so I cancelled that transfer request and submitted a new request last week and still nothing is happening from what I can see.? This is what I get if I check on the progress.

problems with cox.net accounts?
Bruce,
Thanks for the responses and suggested resolutions! TLD isn't incorrect; that's the correct appendage for Cox subscriber email. I'm not sure what resolved the problem, but over the last 36 hours, "missing" messages have been delivered FIFO, and are now caught up. Test messages appear with minimal delay. Several of our group members had complained to Cox; maybe that brought it to their attention. Best regards, -Dave |

I'd double check the #cal-notice hashtag.? The noreply@ source and having to approve it sounds like it may be set to Moderated.

#moderation

Thanks Frances and Duane
Both were good thoughts, but the one of the topics was a new EVENT created by a member, and while I have 34 hashtags in my group, none of them are moderated. I am wondering if new events (both posted by moderators) must be approved somehow -- Norm |
