The OP was asking for a subscription link she could send out in an email that someone could click on to subscribe, not an email address someone could send? email to to subscribe.

Frances showed an example, but it is not clear to me how it was implemented, or even whether it implemented within the framework or elsewhere.

Actually, it is considered a link, but it pulls up your email program, not a web page, assuming you've got your computer/device set up that way.
