One thing I ran into with one of my transfers was file names or subject lines in messages with octothorpes (#) in them. Groups.io wants to turn them into hashtags.

Assuming that the groups transfer process gets going again, I'm curious if there's anything that I can do to maximize the possibility that our "Files" repository makes the trip. I saw at least one post suggesting that putting all of the files in the top level (i.e. directly in "Files") was the way to go. We make use of lots of sub-folders (sometimes several levels deep), so moving our files around could prove to be painful if it isn't likely to help. Can anyone who knows better than I do offer any words of wisdom? Also, does anyone know if a "do-over" of the "Files" transfer can be attempted later if the original attempt fails? -Don |
