Re: Increase my chance of "Files" transfer success? #transfer

Files for my two groups did not "transfer" I had to manually download them to my hard drive and then upload them into my new groups.io groups.
I did find that most attemps at download failed with a white screen.
What DID WORK was to right click on each file name (NOT Left Click) then choose "save link as" and then set it down into a prepared folder on my drive.? That worked every time. Tedious but it worked/
Uploading worked quite well between my hard drive folders with all our file up into the groups.io group.

Assuming that the groups transfer process gets going again, I'm curious if there's anything that I can do to maximize the possibility that our "Files" repository makes the trip.? I saw at least one post suggesting that putting all of the files in the top level (i.e. directly in "Files") was the way to go. We make use of lots of sub-folders (sometimes several levels deep), so moving our files around could prove to be painful if it isn't likely to help.? Can anyone who knows better than I do offer any words of wisdom?

Also, does anyone know if a "do-over" of the "Files" transfer can be attempted later if the original attempt fails?
