If you are a group owner or perspective owner, you can set up your group as a restricted group and therefore be able to contact the prospective applicant before them being approved to your group.

I was able to do this in Yahoogroups.? It was nice to vet someone before we accepted them.? I tried searching and couldn't find anything..? Thanks!
