is there a way to search for his messages?In addition to Bruce's suggestions, if you are a moderator with suitable permission, or an owner, you can look up (search) the member in your group's Members list. Open the member's page and there a link under User Name (near the top) will take you to the member's Profile, and that too will have the All Messages By This Member search link.
