One thing to keep in mind: "There is no such thing as a free lunch". Groups.io is not ad-supported and your privacy is in no way impacted by your use of groups.io or your membership at groups.io. Unlike Yahoo, which is ad-supported and uses your personal information to pay for the services you receive(d) there.

So, expecting Mark to pay for all of us to continue using this service (which is far superior to Yahoo Groups in my opinion), is not reasonable. The challenge is to come up with an equitable way to share the cost of the services. It appears to me that Mark is testing those waters now. I'm certainly prepared to support a reasonable cost for these services. Dave Rypma Owner and Moderator of several groups here and (soon to be the past) Yahoo.?
