Every subscriber who was transferred will receive a "transfer success" notification and given the opportunity to opt out of their membership in the new group unless you choose to disable it. There is a checkbox for this in the transfer menus, see?/g/GroupManagersForum/message/12241?for details.

The "no email" setting in the Y!G has no effect on this, but whatever setting they had in the Y!G will be retained for regular group messages in the new group unless you disable "no email" in the group settings (look in the Message Policies block).
