We are a technical standards body and in the process of our work we quite often use XML and/or HTML in our messages.

We’ve just moved some of our lists over from Yahoo Groups to groups.io and while it has worked very well in the most part, members have noticed that XML or HTML included in messages is not displayed in the web view.

Content such as this:

?

<a_made_up_xml_element new_attribute=”new_value”>

??? <another_made_up_xml_tag />

</a_made_up_xml_element>

?

… is formatted properly in emails, but not in the group’s message archive.

?

It appears that the “Message Formatting” section of the settings page only changes the format of emailed messages, and we don’t have a problem with those.

?

Is this a bug or is there a setting that I’m missing?
