is there a way that I can put all my groups on no mail status at once, instead of going to all my groups individually, and changing the subscriptions?

Use the Groups.io home page. Get to it from the logo in the upper left corner, or , then check mark a page full of your groups and use the Actions menu at the bottom to change their email delivery in a batch.

I'm not sure what happens with those groups that don't allow No Email. They may go to Special Notices instead, or may stay unchanged.
