Portable Li power for Gemini1-G11?
Is anyone using a Lithium portable power bank for a G11-Gemini1? If so, are you providing 18V as well as 12V and if so, how?

Oh one thing. I ment that you may need to lower data out rate to 4800 bps as most are 9600bps. Usually easiest to do this with USB or USB/Rs242 converter and terminal program like terraterm. There

Hi Brendan Thanks for the info. The GPS is a Globalsat BR305. By examining the USB adapter it came with, I managed to determine which pin on the PS2 connector is +5v. Strangely(I thought) there is -5v

Without knowing the GPS unit no one can tell. I mean it could use +/-12v rs232 not 5V or even 3V. Though I doubt it. It might have a buffer IC driver which protects things like cross connection If it

I've miss connected Rx/Tx ...it shouldn't cause any problems.? But that was different chipsets!?? You can use the mini USB and import GPS data thru Gemini ASCOM...FWIW Cheers -- Brendan

Brendan, Paul K is correct. Two power cables for the Gemini 1. Sorry for the ambiguity. I understand that the diagram shows the inputs on the Gemini 1 CPU and not the power cable end and the cable end
