Without knowing the GPS unit no one can tell.
I mean it could use +/-12v rs232 not 5V or even 3V. Though I doubt it. It might have a buffer IC driver
which protects things like cross connection
If it does generally getting Rx/Tx cross wired shouldn¡¯t cause an issue. But no one knows if it had a buffer IC. Aldo you may need to set it to 4800bps for a G1
You may need an usb/rs232 breakout to connect to the GPS and update it¡¯s setting for 4800 bps etc.
What GPS is it? Some info . For Geminis
