Hi Ron,

Communications error is usually a timeout error on delivering a command to Gemini. It's an indication of a poor or noisy connection, bad cable, or sometimes a poor serial/usb/ethernet or other converter you're using.

What version of Gemini are you using and how is it connected to the PC?
