Allow speeding up

开云体育

I’ve just applied 6.05 plus 1.63 to my G2 and HC.

?

I have “allow speeding up” set, so I expected the HC buttons to work like the G1, going from Guide speed to Centre speed to Slew Speed if I hold (e.g.) the right RA button down and press the left button twice.

?

But it doesn’t seem to work like that?? If I have speed set to Guide it will only move up to Centring speed when I press the opposite button. HC is set to “All Speeds” mode

?

Also, the buttons on the rear of the HC don’t seem to do anything sometimes, other times they do?

?

Can anyone cast some light for me?

?

Cheers, David

Hi David,
?
Did you restart Gemini after the new HC firmware was uploaded to the HC? I had a similar experience, and it all cleared up after restarting Gemini.

Yes, I did restart – several times in fact as I’m trying to get serial coms working (but that’s for another thread).

Hmm. I didn't have that issue after the restart. I'll try a few more times to see if there's some sequence that leads to this state. Anything in particular that you do before you try to use the buttons?

The tactile buttons always work for me (you must be on the screen with diamond buttons on the touch screen). They also allow acceleration to the next higher speed, but not beyond. I can't accelerate twice, only one acceleration works to the next higher level.?

That’s what I am complaining about – on the G1 you could accelerate from G to C to S

That would be a question for Rene :) Not sure why it's not working as in G1.

I think this was correct under very specific conditions.? I remembered the 2-speed speed up worked with the settings I used and the all speed speed up happened only worked if you held down the opposite button for like 2 seconds and it would step up? one speed at a time.? ?It has been a while since I have owned and used a Gemini 1 so IDK for sure.?
