Spontaneous reboot of L6 Gemini 2
I recently had my Gemini 2 upgraded to L6 by Losmandy.
Set it up yesterday. Had the scope parked but on for an hour or two. Walked away from it. When I came back, the hand controller was in a boot loop. I powered the mount off and on. It booted fine and stayed on.?
unfortunately my usb hub died, so I shut everything down for the night after the unit was running 40 minutes. Today, I powered up and connected to Nina. While I was working on the computer, Nina said it couldn¡¯t communicate with the Gemini. The driver had disconnected. Hit the button and it connected.
?I¡¯m using a mini pc and using a usb cable from mount to pc. No hub. I did update the ascom driver.
Anyone see stability issues with L6 or the new Gemini. Net drivers?

No, not really.? I'm on L6.05beta and HC 1.63cbeta and I have used it quite a bit with the HC for visual and left it running with ASIAIR Plus 256 v3 and the latest ASIAIR app and ASIAIR firmware, seems to be working for me.? ?

Hi Tom,
?
This sounds like you had some hardware/electrical failure. Gemini doesn't go into boot loop unless it's power cycled or a serious error has occurred. Your USB hub failing could be related (or, indeed, the cause). You can always try an older version of the driver: if you want to confirm. I'd also recommend switching to Ethernet connection, just because that's a much more stable, performant, and powerful way to control Gemini2. I'd also double-check the power supply.
