开云体育MiguelThe folders are correct, The GemHC.bin file should not be at the root, but under HCFirmware, and then only until the system uploads it to the hand-controller, then that sub-directory should be blank, The files are not. The only files that possibly should be at the root before flashing are: NewGem.bin? or HGM_Gem2.bin??? It should be one of these but not both. See Variation 2 of programming in quick start guide for HGM_Gem2.bin explanation. Gemini.log After programming. Gemini.log Either Cur_Gem.bin or Cur_Gem2.bin according to which method and file name you used to program the main unit. I use the Variation 2 to do the programming where i rename NewGem.bin to HGM_Gem2.bin before uploading it to the root of the SDCard. Then all I have to do is turn the power off then back on.? The programming takes less than a second after power is turned back on. Yes you might have to redo the SD card, as at this time you would have to use serial commands to erase the GEMHC file that should not be at the root of the main units SDCard. If you do not feel like you cannot do this without damaging the Hand controller, then please do not do it.? You do this at your own risk. Please see the Disassembly warning document in the files section.? The gasket can provide a lot of sticking between the LCD and top plastic cover. You might have to use more pressure to get the top cover off.? Also remove the 4?? screws completely.? Make sure you keep pushing on the LCD screen down while trying to pry the top cover off.?? I do this by pressing the LCD down (LCD facing up) with the HC placed on a mouse pad or cloth.? Mine sticks so bad that I have had to pry it with a small screwdriver at the slot where the top and bottom join on the sides or end, to get it started.? I kind of now wished I had not installed the Gasket, as my unit came without? one, and I later added it myself.? I again say, if you do not feel like you cannot do this without damaging the Hand controller, then please do not do it.? You do this at your own risk.? Take it to your dealer. Tom Hilton |
Thanks Tom, If I format the SD and redo it as is on the Files section of the group, is it correct? Thanks! Miguel Enviado desde mi iPhone El 14/02/2011, a las 21:49, "tom@..." <tom@...> escribió:

开云体育MiguelYes.?? Upzip the SDCard.zip file and put the unzipped directories/file on the card. If your zip program is like mine, it does not do empty directories, which HCFirmware is empty.? You might have to make a HCFirmware directory.? Like I said, I use Variant 2 to program my Gemini.? Just unzip the NewGem.zip file, rename NewGem.bin to HGM_Gem2.bin and put that file at the root.? Put the card back into the Gemini, and power up.? Your done. Tom On 2/14/2011 3:37 PM, Miguel wrote: ? |
开云体育MiguelPS You could also unzip the latest gemhc.bin file, and put it in the HCFirmware directory of the SDCard before putting it back into the Gemini main unit. If you do, then unplug the Hand controller before powering up.? After you have powered up, plug in the hand controller, and it should start uploading the Hand controller firmware, and then flash itself.? If this works you should not have to pull apart the hand controller. This is the way I now do it if I have to take the SDcard out of the main Gemini unit.? It gets everything done at once.
