Re: I don't understand why Losmandy disabled the port for the axis encoders
Hi Chuck, Not sure I understand what you are asking here but yes, you don't really need a Gemini but it is really the only option for imaging these days.? The reason is that almost every imaging

Re: HC files
If I recall correctly, you just need to copy all the files to the top/root folder of the HC SD card.

Thanks Paul for your help! The mount is set up to do some imaging, so I will pursue this tomorrow (the skies are clear now, don't want to waste the chance). Jason [email protected]> wrote:

Jason, sorry, didn't realize you were looking for the servo firmware file. You can find it here: /g/Gemini-II/files/Gemini%20Firmware%20L6.02/G2%20PIC%20Servo%20code%20v30.zip I'll

Paul, I went to the folder indicated in your reply: [image: image.png] I downloaded the various zip files, and I did not find the appropriate HEX file to update the servo firmware

Re: HC files
Hi Paul, Thanks for the prompt response! Is there any kind of folder structure, or do I just extract your entire archive file into the root folder of the HC card? Cheers, Ed

Hi Ed, I uploaded all the HC files (without the firmware gemhc.bin) here: /g/Gemini-II/files/OLD_Driver_and_System_files/HCFiles.zip

Re: Error when attempting to connect to Gemini 2 with GFU
Jason, the beta group is closed since there's no beta going on at the moment, and it doesn't contain the latest firmware, anyway. Besides updating using GFU, all the files are available here:

Re: I don't understand why Losmandy disabled the port for the axis encoders
Chip I saw Paul's reply and found the instructions. Interesting as it seems you can do visual at the scope with minimal equipment. I assume you still have to have a good PA and you get 1 mas accuracy?

Hi Chuck, Per my post check out Astro Devices encoders and DSC.? Not cheap but they are the best complete encoder setup for the Losmandy EQ and ALT/AZ mounts. For the G11 and GM8 they install the

Hi Paul, the fact that longitude is changing, along with RA/DEC reversal settings, seems to point to Gemini not keeping the settings internally. Maybe worth checking and replacing the 3v battery a

I thought of that as well. If I remember correctly, it couldn't handle it. Think of this situation as looking through a porthole: for each AZ point, there would be 2 ALT points. NINA couldn't handle
