Re: Mac & Gemini 2 connection
For the record, I am currently using a Gemini II L6 with my MacBook Pro and a standard network cable and it works perfectly. No crossover needed for Macs and it's been that way for many years. -Kevin

Re: Mac & Gemini 2 connection
Hi Tony, We know the Ethernet port is working fine because we used GFU to install the newer L6.1 and v1.6.3 HC code and I showed you the web UI with voltage, Network settings mount type etc. We

Tracking in Dec?

Re: Mac & Gemini 2 connection
It looks like you're not using Mac ethernet port, you're using an external adapter, which may or may not do automatic crossover. But, first, make sure you have the proper static IP address assigned to

Re: Mac & Gemini 2 connection
If Mac's automatically do the crossover, then I guess the answer then is elsewhere. Will try with different cable & connectors. Any way to test the ethernet slot on the Gemini itself?

Re: Mac & Gemini 2 connection
That's the trick. Just make sure your Gemini IP address and Mac static IP address differ only in the last part of the IP address. If Gemini IP address is 192.168.0.111 then assign your Mac a static IP

Re: Mac & Gemini 2 connection
Just connect a standard network cable between the Mac and your Gemini II and assign a static IP address to the Mac interface on the same network as the Gemini II. Clear skies [email protected]>

Re: Mac & Gemini 2 connection
If you're connecting directly from the Gemini 2 unit to an ethernet port on your computer I believe you need a crossover cable instead of a patch cable. Best, Glen

Re: Mac & Gemini 2 connection
Hi ?, How are you trying to connect Gemini to your Mac? Is it just an ethernet wire from Gemini directly to the Mac ethernet port? Or something else? Regards, -Paul

Re: Mac & Gemini 2 connection
Anon, I haven¡¯t done this recently and I have an Ethernet port on Mac. I would first try turning the Gemini on first and then plugging it in and if that fails plug it an then turn on the Gemini.

Re: ASCOM not connecting to mount
Hello. I once had a somewhat similar issue and the chooser worked when I selected Gemini Telescope.Net, rather than Gemini Telescope.Net 2. Good luck!

Re: ASCOM not connecting to mount
Hi Paul, Thank you so much, I probably have a red hand-print on my forehead now from how hard I just slapped it. I had assumed one was for Gemini 1 and the other for Gemini 2. Cheers, Glen

Re: ASCOM not connecting to mount
Hi ?, Use ASCOM.GeminiTelescope.Telescope (not 2) to connect. The 2nd one is for when you have two Gemini, and the first one is already setup and connected. Regards, -Paul
