Re: Gemini II to computer
Greg It should work to do wifi into the rs232 ports of the Gemini 2. That gets you normal Gemini-2 command control. However if you want to use the Web interface built into the Gemini 2, you still have

Re: OT ? Gemini II driver bug
Hi Brian, Here is a good place to report, or you can post it on Gemini_ascom_driver yahoo group. I'll take a look. What IP address are you using? Regards, -Paul

Re: Gemini II to computer
That should work based on the description. This will do both: translation from tcp/ip to serial, and provide wi-fi access. Regards, -Paul

OT ? Gemini II driver bug
The gemini II driver doesn't appear to save the IP address correctly. I type in the address and it reverts back to the default address. Where do we report stuff like this? Thanks Brian

Re: Ethernet port?
I'm pretty sure it's not an http connection, and it defaults to port 1000. I'll have to investigate Cheers Brian

Re: Just received my G11 and Gemini 2
My illuminator is new from Losmandy (a replacement) and it has a dimmer built into it. Speaking of accessories, i find the upgraded clutch knobs to be essential. Cheers Brian

Re: Ethernet port?
I'm not sure what scopedriver is or what it does over Ethernet, but G2 uses the standard HTTP protocol over Ethernet, so the port number should be set to 80. Regards, -Paul

Re: Gemini II to computer
Hi Greg, I don't think that would work. This converts serial to Ethernet. You'll need another conversion at the Gemini end to convert back to serial, otherwise G2 wouldn't understand the Ethernet

Re: Gemini II to computer
I¡¯m probably way over my head here, but can¡¯t TheSky connect to an IP address by using software that converts the IP address into a serial port? That¡¯s my understanding of the free software

Guess that I am going to have to start a Frequency Asked Question section about the Gemini 2 on my www.gemini-2.com site, like I have for the Gemini 1 controllers. Tom Hilton

Re: Gemini II to computer
Dave sorry, but you cannot plug that into the Gemini 2. The Gemini 2 at this time cannot act as a USB host (Like a PC can) It is only a usb slave. Even it it would work, it would only give you access

Re: Gemini II to computer
You should be able to just use this: NETGEAR WG111 Wireless USB 2.0 Adapter (54 Mbps) For $13 and be done with it. It should work with a router and thats what I'll get. Dave
