Re: PDEC out of range errors

Hi Ken, that sounds like a possible issue with DEC cable or connection. The error is coming from Gemini itself, and is produced by an internal check for consistency of the DEC motor encoder counter

PDEC out of range errors
Hi, Last night I was trying to park the mount and I kept getting "PDEC out of range" errors popping up from the ASCOM Gemini driver. The mount wouldn't park so I turned it off and will level it today.

Sounds like a timeout when communicating with Gemini over the serial port. What are you trying to do, and what changes to your configuration may have caused it? Regards, -Paul
