We also need to know what version of the firmware you have.? You can
kind of tell at the bottom of the hand controller when it is first
turned on.

Many thanks for the helpful replies here. Other duties
have taken me away from Gemini today but I will work on
getting it connected to my computer network. I guess I'll
just have to screw my courage to the sticking point and
try it!
First attempt will be so:
1/ Laptop connects to internet through wireless router.
2/ Plug Gemini ethernet port into laptop RJ45 port.
3/ Power up Gemini.
4/ See what happens.
It sounds easy enough. :)
