Hi Rainer,
The latest ASCOM driver is 1.0.17 and is available in the Files section of this group, as well as in the GEMINI_ASCOM_Driver group. This version supports both, Gemini 1 and Gemini 2.

Hi Paul,
Thanks. I just decided that I am going to give ASCOM a try again.
Which is the correct version for Gemini I and where can I download it ?
Now that I solved a major issue with oval stars and I dog et round stars now it is time to go into a new adventure :-)
Off Topic question.
" Does the ASCOM driver have an Altitude limit setting ? eg. Can I tell the mount to stop at a certain altitude and do a Go Home slew ? I am not talking about the known East and West Limit settings for RA. "
regards Rainer

Hi Rainer,
Maybe it's because a lot of people use ASCOM? :-) The ASCOM driver remembers the target coordinates after the flip, so a Sync or Add'l Align will work just fine on the other side.
People who use GCC, probably simply execute another 'goto' to the same object after the meridian flip. It's easy and takes very little time.
If you really feel this is a major issue, maybe you should contact Daniel? This is something he would have to change in GCC. Gemini already provides a command to flip to the object coordinates (:MM).
