Then in actual use, I just used both laptops.. If I haven¡¯t already made it work, then yes it does, as it¡¯s a new Win11 setup.. I will be checking this out as soon as the rain stops ¨C it will stop, right? ¨C here in sunny CA.. I *DO* remember that first I couldn¡¯t get the Ethernet into the port.. Then I couldn¡¯t get it out.. So I *know* it was attached and I *should* have gone all the way and made sure I could control the mount.. ??? Hopefully it¡¯s just my advanced age / memory.. I cant find the original tip, but my problem was the method recommended by Brian was not allowing me to store the IP addresses on my computer side of the Ethernet adapter. I used an alternative method to get to the adapter entry? ?Control Panel->Network and Internet->Network and Sharing Center->Ethernet. (You must have already been connected to the ethernet)? ?I had to do this ONLY because the method Brian showed in his video did not allow me to save my IP addresses after I hadentered them. From: Brian Valente ? yeah that seems to be an issue for saving. for a direct IP connect i'm not sure the gateway is critical, so you can try changing it to something else, or the ip address of the gemini ?
