Re: Tracking comet

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

Hello Brian et Paul,

I will do this on another computer.

My son-in-law has one with better resolution, but I can't do it right away.

I'll let you know if I fix the problem.

Thank you again for your help

Michael

Hi Michael

Can you install Gemini Telescope.net on a different computer and open that window, just to confirm you can see the entire UI on a different screen?

I cannot increase the resolution, it is maximum !!

I don't see where the problem comes from.

Thank you for wanting to help me.

I won't bother you any further.

Cordially

Michael

Maybe it¡¯s because of low resolution. Can you switch to higher resolution? The window may be to large for your screen.

Hello again Paul,

I enlarged the window, it becomes larger, but the buttons do not appear I

do not use an automatic translator, I translate with "google translate" which I close after translation.

My screen resolution is 1366x768.

I see. You are using some automatic translation software. Can you try turning it off? That may be causing some problems. In addition, can you try to grab the bottom right corner of the window and resize it to be bigger, so you can see the other buttons and the bottom? What is your Windows display resolution?

Hi Paul,

First of all thank you for your quick response.

The dialog box that I get does not have ¡°goto¡± or ¡°tracking¡± buttons, it is just like the attachment I sent you, it is truncated!

Hi Michael,

Did you click on "Track" button after doing the Goto? Do you see any of the error numbers shown below after clicking Track? Does the Track button change to STOP?

The screen shot that you posted indicates that ephemeris was downloaded. All the information on that screen is from JPL/Horizons.

Good morning,

I am new to the forum. I am French and I live in the south of France.

I have a G11 with gemini 2 since 2009. I'll tell you my problem:

I installed the gemini version 1.1.17 to photograph comet C/2022 E3. I connected by ethernet to my gemini and clicked on small and solar system objects.

When I display in Object name C/2022 E3, my telescope goes towards the comet but does not follow it!

It seems to me that the ephemerides are not downloaded to my hard drive. I get the dialog box that I send you as an attachment.

It does not correspond to what I saw in Paul Kanevsky's message.

Thank you in advance for your help .

Best regards Michael Fillon
