Hi Lloyd,
Not sure what the problem was, but you may want to try the latest version of the ASCOM driver. It'll automatically set comet tracking rates for you based on JPL/Horizon ephemeris and will continue to auto-adjust these for as long as you keep tracking:

It's great to have comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF) that is on the rise in the north.??
I watched the?Losmandy Quicktip #2 - Custom Comet Tracking?YouTube video and found Brian's explanation very straightforward.
I set to work on my Titan-50 with the Gemini 2 controller.? I followed the steps exactly as shown in the video first with a 5-minute training time and then with 10 minutes.? The results were the same.? Once the training was done and tracking was set to User Defined I did a 5-minute exposure.? The stars trailed as I expected them to but the comet nucleus also tracked at what appeared to be twice the rate as the stars.? I've attached my 5-minute exposure after the 10-minute training time to show what I'm seeing.
Also included are two screenshots of the hand controller showing the User Defined tracking and the current firmware.
Any help or suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.
