Thanks for your answer and French no :-) Well from your answer I guess I know now from where my problem comes and will have to investigate further ... I guess Daniel does not read this Yahoo group ?? I have made the experience that slewing from 2 different parts eg. if I elaborate an alignment model from GCC or I elaborate it from my preferred planetarium programm, I have found out that I have discrepancies in pointing accuacy and so I elaborate my alignment model from Sky Map Pro which I then use for making the GoTo's for my imaging sessions but when I want to add the Meridian Flip error with an additional align and therefore I use the Meridian Flip from GCC and now I think from there comes the problem. I make all GoTo OBjects commands from Sky Map Pro and use the additional align command of GCC (NOT Handcontrol emulation in GCC). After having the first alignment model then I do a GoTo and object using Sky Map Pro, do a centering and additional in GCC, then on the same object I command a Meridian Flip from GCC ... ... and then the problem arises when I center the object with GCC (NOT Handcontrol emulation in GCC) and want to make an additional on the flipped object ... I think now that if I make a GoTo and object within GCC, center, do a Meridian Flip and center and aditional align it could be I do not have the error ... Will try it tonight to see what happens. So what I wanted to say is that maybe Sky Map uses other sort of command as GCC does and so the confusion arises :-) Again thanks for explaining the commands which made me come to this conclusion That is what ahppens when one uses 2 possibilities to do a GoTo to an object thinking that they both interact in the same manner with the Gemini. I have GCC connected directly to the Gemini via serial cable into the RS 232 port and my Planetarium program interacts via a Thomas Hilton adapter into the Handcontroller port (female DB 15 port) Gr¨¹sse Rainer --- In Gemini-II@..., Rene Goerlich <Rene@...> wrote:
