Re: Meridian Flip

I have forced a meridian flip several times on my Titan and whatever it was tracking is remembered and close to centered after the flip. i was doing M81 last night and was approaching the safety point did a meridian flip from the hand controller and it was back on it with a couple minor centering adjustments but in the CCD view.

I have done it with GCC and the couple times I have I dont recall any difficulty with remembering the target.

Hi Floyd,

OK, I understand, but please understand that not everybody has CCD Auto Pilot for making a plate solve, not everybody has as well as The Sky Pro 6 and not everybody works with ASCOM, ??? OK ? :-) Thanks :-)

For me that is a forgotten thing or something else that Gemini does not remember to which object it slewed when one wants to make an immediate ccentering of the object and an additional align without having to do a new GoTo to the object in question ...

I just let CCDAutoPilot Plate solve after the flip, using Pinpoint and The Sky 6 Pro, it then is right on targer. But, I never really have any issue after a flip finding a star or object.
