I suppose the problem is linked to the mount limits. When the first goto to Capella has failed, Capella was just after the Meridian on the West. But later in the night, with the same procedure (initial aligment on Dubhe on the Est and goto Capella on the West), the gota has succeeded. In this case, Capella was more distant of the meridian on the West.

I have no clue as to how Gemini II works, but the first star in the version 1 you did a "Synchronize" instead of initial alignment or additional alignment. This may explain why the next stars aren't where they should be.
