as I don't want my address on Yaho. My location is derbyshire and I bought a complete set of bits from you previously. Kind Regards Richard Baker G8DLP bakercrich@... On 2017-02-15 18:42, g6lbq wrote:

PCB Pre-Order Update!
Hi First of all thanks to the 20 members who responded to my email and confirmed their shipping location I will now email you with a cost to ship the PCB's you are interested in so expect an email from me within the next 24hrs. I have not received an email response to confirm shipping location from the following group members: socijalizam1@... pd0sbc@... vu3pyg@... bakercrich@... kon.stamou@... It is important that the following members confirm their shipping location, by return email, once this is done I can confirm what the total cost would be to ship the PCB's you are interested in. Re: Boards and stuff.
Hi Andy, I could observe that the schematic of the PA MK3 is not totally compatible with the pictures of the board with the components in place. For example, on the board there are capacitors with 10nF and 100nF values, although in the schematic there are only 100nF capacitors. Another thing, although you inform that all smd components are 1206 size, there are 100nF capacitors with different sizes. I think that a list of the material with details of size, value, type and voltage would help a lot. Regards, Paulo PU1PBE |
G6LBQ MK3 HF Linear Amp Database Live!
Hi everyone
PLEASE NOTE: ?If I have already reserved you a MK3 Linear Amp PCB from stock your name will be added to the database for information purpose so I can track interest.. Further details of the MK3 amplifier can be found in the files section in my G6LBQ Irwell Transceiver project folder. All members who have registered there interest on the database will be contacted by email once there is sufficient interest to consider placing a manufacturing order for the PCB¡¯s. In the email, I will confirm the PCB cost, shipping costs and you will have the opportunity to confirm your order.
Please note that any member who registers there interest on the database can remove themselves from the list should they wish to do so. Regards Andy de G6LBQ |
Re: Update On PCB Availability & Pre Registration
I am down on the DB for the MK3 Linear. Thanks Andy. 73 Ken On Thu, Feb 2, 2017 at 6:04 AM, g6lbq <ah.electronics@...> wrote:

Re: Update On PCB Availability & Pre Registration
Hi Ken Yes it is newer version than the MK2 original used with my SSB Multi-band project. The MK3 was developed with the Irwell project in mind, its a smaller board and does not have a pre-driver stage prior to the finals. ?When I produced the MK2 HF Amp it was universal and could be used with a standard BitX or other transmitter with only a few mW output. The MK2 Exciter produces several hundred mW of RF so in essence the pre-driver stage in the MK2 linear was overkill and required attenuation at its input to reduce (waste) rf energy. Hope that answers your question.

Re: PA3
Hi Ian You are on my list for a MK3 Linear PCB. Regards the Irwell Transceiver project there is a folder in the Group files section which has some limited information but it has not been updated for some time as I had to shelve the project to deal with other priorities. The end goal for the Irwell project is to have a homebrew transceiver that covers all HF bands, has general receive coverage and multi-mode operation. So far I am able to confirm that the following modes will be supported - USB, LSB, CW, AM and Digi-Modes. ?I would also like to include FM mode but this requires some experimentation, the receive part is straight forward enough but the transmit is a little more difficult to achieve. The Irwell project is very much a personal challenge but one I will share with the Group and hopefully it will attract enough interest to warrant making PCB's available and maybe a few kits. Work has begun again on the Irwell and I will provide more information as I make progress and the project evolves.

Re: PA3
Andy, ? ? ? ? ? ?I was wondering if you received my e mail requesting a PA board? ?Thank You for all your efforts. One quick question I was wondering if there was anywhere on the group site where there is an update/progress/description of the Irwell transceiver?? Thanks Ian K3HQL On Wednesday, February 1, 2017 10:53 AM, g6lbq <ah.electronics@...> wrote: Hi Seth I do not have you on my current list for a MK3 HF Linear Amp PCB but will add you now. Your MK3 Linear PCB is reserved from my current limited stock. I will email you once I can confirm cost to include the PCB's that you registered an interest for on the databases. Regards Andy

Re: Update On PCB Availability & Pre Registration
Hi Andy I see there is a "Request for G6LBQ MK3 HF Linear Amplifier PCB". Is this version new since your last version release? I'll have to check which version I have. 73 Ken VA3ABN On Wed, Feb 1, 2017 at 1:20 PM, g6lbq <ah.electronics@...> wrote:

Update On PCB Availability & Pre Registration
Hi Everyone Just a quick post to update everyone who is interested in PCB's for the transceiver project. The databases that I created in the Group for pre-registering an interest for MK2 BPF and MK2 Exciter PCB's has gone well so thank-you to everyone who has put themselves on the lists. With sufficient interest I can now warrant making inquiries with PCB vendors to get an idea of cost, once I have done this I will email everyone who has registered their interest with cost details. If you have shown an interest to get PCB's but have not registered on the Group databases please register as soon as possible. ?The databases can be accessed from the Groups.io menu list present on the left hand side of your screen! I will be adding more pre-registration database soon for further PCB's so please keep an eye on the Group Database section. Regards Andy de G6LBQ |
