Re: IRWELL TRANCEIVER

I'm interested in a new (relatively) high quality hardware defined (non SDR) transceiver project. I would be interested in a kit of the hard-to-gets. Even when designers are careful to select readily available components in their country of origin, they can turn out to be unobtanium elsewhere.? In RF-sensitive modules like gain stages and PAs, this can render the module un-buildable.? So if there are group buys of inductors, filters, balun cores, certain ICs, that would suit me best.? ?

> ?release a few Beta versions to a select few to build up so as to find the bugs.?Then when all the test builds come up with perfectly running rigs , then go to some sort of large release or boards or kits.

Agree 100%. As amazing at the uBitx project is, it seemed to me to go from bench prototype to full scale production, generating a lot of noise when the filtering and board layout was found to be not as good as it could have been. A 6 month beta might have caught this, and the mod developed before it sold thousands of units.?

73, thanks Andy for your work on keeping homebrew transceiver projects alive, the modules so far look excellent.
