Prostate Caancer
Cliff Beckwith
Hi,
Prostate Cancer is the best kind of cancer to have if you have to have cancer. Normally, it is slow developing. I do not know that anyone really knows the cause. My doctor told me that some men will have it by 40. As the age group increases the percentage of men with PCa in each group also increases. He said that by the time a man is 85 he would gurantee that he had it. Many, if not most, men die with it and never know it. If caught early, it is one of the easiest to fight with standard methods. Once it is advanced, it is considered incurable. Mine was advanced before it was diagnosed. My brother had a situation even more advanced at diagnosis. It is very complicated problem. There are at least 30 different strains, all of which react differently to any treatment approach. Most are slow developing; a few are very aggressive. With advanced PCa the main standard treatment is Hormone therapy. This prevents the production of Testosterone which does not cause PCa but once it is there it is like throwing gasoline on a fire. This works for a while but is not a cure. Some strains are not affected by a lack of Testosterone. I am close to 11 years now since diagnosis. The use of Flaxseed oil, and now Beta Glucan and high vitamin C plus the rebounder are now the main weapons I am using, plus anti oxidants and other things recommended by Moonbeam on another list. I seem to be in no danger. I am awaiting a PSA result with some trepidition and rising heart beat. Ha! Except it isn't funny. One man I met on the PCa lists fought PCa with advanced bone involvement for over 15 years with every new chemo or idea that he could find. He used Flax Oil for awhile and it seemed to help but he did not stay with it. I don't know if he is still living, but I doubt it. If he is it is the very last stages. Cliff |

Dr. Borman is on the Flax oil list but may not have had time to switch to the new address. I am sure she wil not mind if I post a letter to me some time ago t hat says it all. Dear Cliff: Hi Cliff. I'm so sad to hear of your ordeal with prostate CA. I think what you're doing is teriffic. Thank God for your progress. We originally opened our clinic in TJ in 1992 to treat specifically prostate CA with Hyperthermia (without chemo or radiation). We still treat a large number of prostate patients since that was one of Dr. Freeman's specialities. Yes, glucans + flaxseed oil is excellent. Add some Enzymes when needed and you've got a great combination. I have put the link to my website up for you to peruse. Simply go to the Products site and choose what you want to order. Go to the order page, printit off and fill it out and fax it over with a credit card and we'll ship out. I have Betacan(tm) 500 in stock (encapsulated pure glucan powder) or just the raw powder itself. Most people prefer the encapsulated stuff. Dr. Bormann Mailing address Arrowhead Health Works Carolyn Boreman, N. D., C. P. PO Box 950 Twin Peaks CA 92391 phone 909 338 3533 Fax 909 338 7343 OK...to answer your questions...yes, glucan is a "must have" for cancer patients. Here's some copy off my website: WHAT DOES IT DO AND WHAT IS IT USED FOR? Basically, what glucans seem to do is to stimulate / irritate your white blood cells called Macrophages into action. There is actually beta glucan receptors displayed by immune cells that the lectin fits right into like a lock and key and switches on or activates the macrophage to do it's job...clean up. Increased macrophage activity triggers a whole cascade of immune events, which basically boost immune response, which improves Natural Host Resistance. However, RESPONSE IS RECEPTOR MEDIATED (in other words, if the macrophage in the gut peritoneal lining lymphatics is not displaying a receptor site for glucan or they're blocked by other lectins, then the glucan simply passes by and is excreted). There is no danger we know of for causing excessive macrophage activity and damage the immune response, or creating an autoimmune condition. Primarily glucan is used to add immunological punch to products to address the ever increasing incidence of chronic infections, inflammations (arthritis), and other immune stressing things like allergies, poor diet, bad work habits, etc. It is used extensively in the veterinarian industry, fishing industry, and skin care. Recently it is crossing over into human nutrition. It is proven beneficial for conditions related to immunity. available: This product is important to keep Host Resistance at optimal levels. It is an excellent antioxidant / free radical scavenger and especially beneficial for those undergoing treatment for immune-related conditions such as cancer, AIDS, CFIDS, or other infections. It is also a good preventative and booster for the average person wanting to strengthen their resistance. In terms of dosage for beta glucan, it's usually figured at a min. of 10mg./kilo of bodyweight per dose...caps are taken at bedtime and upon rising on an empty stomach. I usually have our cancer patients taking 2 caps twice daily and then we do a darkfield microscopy to see how their macrophages seem to be doing. Some patients who are early on in their cancer have intact immune system function and only need 1 cap twice daily...some only need 1 cap at bedtime 4 times a week...it depends on the case. I'd love to private label it for you if you want for your site...very low minimums since I control the entire process from manufacture right through to packaging. Tell me the best way I can help you reach your goal...you can feel free to take anything in terms of copy from my website materials also. I've had alot of experience in this arena so I'll be glad to be of service... Carolyn Bormann, N.D.,C.P. -----Original Message-----

list. I currently am using 3000 mgs of Beta Glucan a day and 9000 mgs of time release vitamin C. I think I should be using Ester C and am going to as soon as the present supply runs out. I should know in a couple of days if this has had an effect on my PSA. Cliff Hi Cliff, the only published information I have read to support your suggestion, is that boosting the immune system through use of medicinal mushrooms or yeast beta glucan,. quickly depletes the body of Vitamin C. Once Vitamin C is depleted the immune system will no longer function in an activated state. Since in order to work at maximun capcity, it needs significant quantities (gramm amounts) of Vitamin C daily. Sure the average daily requirement for Vitamin C may be only 50 or 100 milligramms. But thats when the immune system is not activated. Once activated, many gramms a day of Vitamin C can be utilized by the immune system. If you dont get that extra Vitamin C, then the beta glucan will be alomst useless and the body will not respond. Taking glucan without Vitamin C is a waste of time and money. Research suggests glucan derived from medicinal mushrooms may benefit from Vitamin C even more than yeast glucan, through breaking up long molecules and assisting assimilation. If you dont take Vitamin C, and have a break from glucan therapy, then after some time the vitamin C supply in the body will be restored from ones diet. Then after a break, the glucan will be effective again for a day or two, untill all the Vitamin C is again depleted in the body and the glucan again stops working. moonbeam -----Original Message-----

开云体育Hi -
my name is Ben Blanton.
?
I just
signed on to the group yesterday. Briefly, I was diagnosed with colon
cancer?4 years ago and went through 8 months of chemo. Everything went well
until August of this year, when at 52, it was discovered that it had moved into
the lymph nodes between my lungs, and on to my brain. In late Aug., the tumor
was removed from my brain and I was told that if I didn't go on chemo/radiation
I would probably die within a year. I chose NOT to do their poisons when I
discovered flax oil/ cottage cheese - in about 10 days, 4 different people told
me about fo/cc and I began taking it on Sept.4th - I had a ct-scan just last
week which showed that the nodes had shrunk since the last scan in Aug.!
?
I was wondering, however, if any of you have ever heard
of another alternative that I have begun - it's about high acidity (cancer) in
the body vs.. high alkalinity (cancer free) in the body - the gist of it is that
cancer in a high ph body?can not survive - below is a link that explains it
better, somewhat long, but well worth the read

I will be interested in your comments on this -

It is the greatest thing I've been acquainted with. ?This was made known by Dr. Carey Reams. ??Fascinating!! Not everyone needs the same supplements. For instance, If your ph is too acid and you take something acid and drive it further down, you are in trouble and the reverse is true. They analyze the urine and saliva. ?It can even determine if you are a month or so away from a heart attack. Edith |
