anemia and colon cancer update

D G

I posted a while back on my brother-in-law's cancer. His latest blood test results show a big improvement from six weeks ago, however anemia is a concern at this point. His pH is low as well. I will give the actual numbers as I review them.
I am looking for ways to improve the anemic condition, which can be serious in cancer patient's survival outlook. Thanks.

What kind of anemia is it? Is it iron deficiency anemia or macrocytic anemia? I would assume iron, but want a clarification. Is he doing any kind of vitamin or mineral supplementation? How is he doing eating? Any information would help me in terms of gathering tips for you.

Here are the bad numbers, summarized:
creatinine: 1.5 H mg/dl
ferritin: 3.7 L ng/dl
hemoglobin: 9.9 L g/dl
hematorcrit: 30.7 L %
mcv: 71.5 L fl
mch: 23.0 L pg
rdw 18.2 H %
platelet count: 465 H thou/cumm
esr, westergren:58 H mm/hr
cea: 58.4 (was 78) H ng/ml

As you can see, his ferritin is dangerously low. Any help is greatly appreciated. His urine pH was 5.0. He is on Genesis Laboratories cancer protocol, and is also taking FO/CC. Their formula has minerals in it, but not sure what. He has a good apetite, radically changed, little meat, mostly fish and some chicken/turkey. His main problem is eating green concentrates....doesn't like the taste; I asked if the taste of death would suit him better. I think because he sees his cancer markers dropping, he believes diet must be ok. I tried to explain anemia can kill him before other secondary problems, all the while with the tumor receding. I will be calling him tomorrow, so any help is appreciated.

Hello I got my tumors to shrink . I had lung and liver cancer. One thing that reversed my laack of appitite and started me back to health was yerba mate' 3 tablespoons steeped in 1 pint of hot water then blended in a blender while it is still warm then strained and sipped ?through the day helped with stress and gave me more energy. It took about 2-3 weeks for my appitite to come back but I felt better within 2-3 days after ?starting yerba mate. You can see how wonderful this stuff is by going to ?www.healthfree.com and click on to wisdom of the ancients section on teas.Another great thing that helped me a lot was immune support from www.ayurveda-herbs.com. I have lots more info if you want. Larry

I don't know what's in the formula as it is proprietory. The only med he's on is Vicodyn for pain. Any additional supplements must be cleared through Genesis.
For supplements he's taking FO/CC, Ellagic Acid, enzymes (broccozyme and kamozyme from Dr. Wolfe). He's not on any intense vitamin regimen. His diet consists of mostly vegetable, little fruit, fish. This is obviously acquired anemia in my view. His cancer was quite advanced, although he's in relatively good health aside from the anemia and pain from the tumor. It is my opinion he needs to rapidly alkalize himself for one thing, and the anemia....there is controversy in this.

Dear Larry,

I'd greatly appreciate as much info (about herbs helping to
fight cancer), as you possibly are able to give to me.
THANKS!
