Re: anemia and colon cancer update

D G

Here are the bad numbers, summarized:
creatinine: 1.5 H mg/dl
ferritin: 3.7 L ng/dl
hemoglobin: 9.9 L g/dl
hematorcrit: 30.7 L %
mcv: 71.5 L fl
mch: 23.0 L pg
rdw 18.2 H %
platelet count: 465 H thou/cumm
esr, westergren:58 H mm/hr
cea: 58.4 (was 78) H ng/ml

As you can see, his ferritin is dangerously low. Any help is greatly appreciated. His urine pH was 5.0. He is on Genesis Laboratories cancer protocol, and is also taking FO/CC. Their formula has minerals in it, but not sure what. He has a good apetite, radically changed, little meat, mostly fish and some chicken/turkey. His main problem is eating green concentrates....doesn't like the taste; I asked if the taste of death would suit him better. I think because he sees his cancer markers dropping, he believes diet must be ok. I tried to explain anemia can kill him before other secondary problems, all the while with the tumor receding. I will be calling him tomorrow, so any help is appreciated.

What kind of anemia is it? Is it iron deficiency anemia or macrocytic anemia? I would assume iron, but want a clarification. Is he doing any kind of vitamin or mineral supplementation? How is he doing eating? Any information would help me in terms of gathering tips for you.
