It has already been established that "if truth be told" our leaders and military lied to the American people about the progress of the war in Afghanistan. What President Biden said on TV was a clear premeditated calculated lie - “we are going to stay until we get them all out." It is a fact that hundreds of Americans were left behind in Kabul after US military troops left on the last plane.

Only Donald Trump told the truth about the US winning the war in Afghanistan against the Taliban.? Past pain and suffering has already been experienced and presently experienced suffering has already been activated too, so only suffering in the future can be avoided. The best way to accomplish this, according to Patanjali, is to promote sattva and decrease rajas and tamas. This is accomplished by meditating on the pranava which provides the ideal opportunity for the sattva to permeate all our actions, thus avoiding the suffering that lies in the future. Suffering occurs when rajas and tamas predominate over sattva and cause our actions to be unsatisfactory. YMMV.
